Planting on a Perfect Day
It could not have been a more beautiful day. Maybe that is cliche, but I tell you, it could not have been a more perfect day. Blue skies with drifting white clouds, the hills green and yellow, lilacs tossing out their perfume--it was one to enjoy.
I planted the tree/shrub that my parents gave us in memory of my mother-in-law. It should bloom blue in July. Around it I planted coneflower seeds, which will bloom purple once they mature. That will be a fine sight if it all comes to pass.
Tomorrow may be another perfect day. It may rain, which is OK by me. My wife and I plan to run 15 miles. I'll do that in the rain. Why the heck not?
